Continuing a Lowndes legacy Lowndes County holds 54th Annual Ham and Egg Show
Abstract
More than half a century ago, the late John Saunders, a Lowndes County extension agent, joined a growing trend across the state in beginning a ham and egg show. His goal was to encourage farmers in the county to improve the quality of the livestock and meat they produced.
