Nurse gives Twiggs seniors the lowdown on diabetes

Angela Carswell didn’t sugarcoat the facts about diabetes when speaking to a group from the Twiggs County Senior Center on Dec. 10. “You’ve got to see about yourself because the complications of diabetes can kill you,” the Twiggs County Health Department nurse told the group. “You’ve got to learn how to take care of yourself. You’ve got to decide if you want to live or die.”
