Butterfield-Baca Amendment to Ag Appropriations Bill, HR 2744
Abstract
On June 8, the US House of Representatives considered HR
2744, the Agricultural Appropriations Bill for Fiscal Year 2006. Congressman
G. K. Butterfield of North Carolina coauthored with Congressman Joe Baca of
California an amendment to increase funding for the nation’s programs for
socially disadvantaged farmers and to increase funding for civil rights and
minority serving programs at USDA.
